Protecting and Standing With South Florida Communities

Elizabeth Jeanty has worked alongside community volunteers, emergency-response professionals and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel to promote public safety and emergency preparedness. She has also attended and spoken at community events addressing important issues affecting families throughout South Florida, standing with residents from Haiti, Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua and other communities facing uncertainty due to changes in federal immigration policy. Elizabeth believes that strong communities require preparation, cooperation and responsive government. She supports secure borders and respect for the law while also advocating for clear communication, due process and an orderly, humane approach for families affected by government decisions.

Advocating for Justice and Accountable Leadership

Elizabeth has helped organize and participated in peaceful community rallies calling for change, fair intervention and accountability from leaders in cases affecting communities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. These rallies bring residents, advocates and local leaders together, creating a peaceful space for people to be heard and encouraging constructive engagement with elected officials and law enforcement. Her involvement demonstrates her commitment to standing with affected communities, uniting people around difficult issues and working toward fair, practical solutions.

Supporting Families Through Annual Food Distributions

Every year, Elizabeth Jeanty partners with donors, local organizations and community leaders to provide food and essential assistance to families in need. These annual distributions allow her to serve residents directly while hearing about the challenges they face. Her continued commitment reflects her belief that leadership means building strong partnerships, showing up consistently and working together to support the community.

Educating, Empowering and Preserving Our History

Through the People Action Committee, Elizabeth promotes citizenship, voter education and civic participation. As Executive Director of the Haitian American Historical Society, she also preserves Haitian history and leads the annual Savannah commemoration honoring the Chasseurs-Volontaires de Saint-Domingue and their contributions to the American Revolution.

Bringing Community Leadership to International Forums

As Executive Director of the Haitian American Historical Society, Elizabeth Jeanty served as a speaker at an international forum held at the United Nations. She discussed how artificial intelligence can help address challenges affecting Haiti and support development in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, workforce training and other essential sectors. She also participated in discussions at the Organization of American States, where she advocated for responsible and accountable government and stronger institutions that serve the people. These experiences demonstrate her ability to represent her community, contribute to international policy conversations and bring innovative ideas to the challenges facing communities locally and abroad.
